Measure the strip against your lash line and trim from the outer edge
Most strips are cut for an eye wider than yours. Hold the band against your own lash line before any glue comes out, then trim the excess from the outer end so the inner curve stays intact.
Wait for the glue to turn tacky before the band touches your eye
Wet glue slides and takes the band with it. Run a thin line along the band, then wait until it turns tacky and slightly cloudy. Tacky glue grips on contact and stops the band drifting while you position it.
Place the band against your own lash line, not on the skin above it
A band set on the lid reads as a strip of plastic and lifts within an hour. Lower it onto the roots of your own lashes so the two sets sit in the same plane. Tweezers give you the control your fingers do not.
Press the outer corner down last, because it lifts first
The outer corner carries the most movement and the least glue. Set the centre, then the inner corner, then hold the outer corner down for a few seconds longer than feels necessary.
Take them off with micellar water, never by pulling
Soak a cotton pad in micellar water or a gentle remover, press it over the closed eye for twenty seconds, then peel the band away slowly from the outer corner. Pulling a dry band takes your own lashes with it.
Clean the band after every wear and a pair lasts eight wears or more
Old glue on the band is what stops a second wear sitting flat. Lift the dried strip off with tweezers while the band is still soft, then let the pair dry before it goes back in the tray.
